About Our Farm

Our family has been farming on our farm since 1920, Over 100 years later we hope to keep that tradition going.

My grandfather, Charles pictured here ran the farm until he was 96 years old, He operated a successful nursery for over 40 years known as Woodland Nursery Of Salisbury. We grew ornamental trees such as Japanese Maples, Hollies, and specialized in Boxwoods as well as many others. Growing up at the farm was a great place to be exposed to all the experiences farming  and fall in love with the outdoors.

I started my interest in farming with growing hops on a small scale for home brewing in 2016 and in 2019 when we partnered with our local college Salisbury University as a pilot program hemp farm. We continued to grow hemp until 2024 when we switched over to vegetable production in the style of market gardening after discovering JM Fortier's book The Market Gardner.

Since then we have began converting the old nursery over to a market garden style farm and building out our gardens. We operate in a no till, organic style of approach. We use no sprays on any of our crops and grow with the intent of improving the soil through cover crops and organic amendments.
